Hi! You told us how much you like having detail shots of our designer patterns, so I just pinned a bunch to go with the new Vogue Patterns for spring 2015 that we just released. You can find them all on this Pinterest board:
What do you think of this new collection? Early faves by sales are the Ralph Rucci ensemble and the Donna Karan drape-front jacket. We’ve got a new pattern giveaway happening on our Facebook page now; all you have to do is leave a comment there telling us which is your favorite pattern from the new collection. But please take a moment to weigh in here with your thoughts on the new spring Vogues. Like ’em? Hate ’em? Meh? Do tell!
We love to see what you make with our patterns. It’s one thing to see our patterns on models and dress forms or in illustrations, but they become real to us when we see them on you. Here are some ways you can easily share your Butterick, McCall’s, Kwik Sew and Vogue Patterns makes with us:
Pinterest: We check our fan gallery on Pinterest every day to see what you’re making with our patterns. If you’d like to pin and share your creations with us here, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a link to your Pinterest profile so we can sign you up.
Instagram: Another favorite way to keep up with your makes. Tag us in your photos or comments—@mccallpatterncompany—so you show up in our news feed on Instagram.
Twitter: Alert us via Twitter about your makes. Tag us in your tweets—@McCallPatternCo—to show us a photo or point us to a blog or Instagram post.
Blog posts: We love to read your blog posts, because that’s where you can share more photos and talk about what you like or didn’t like about a pattern of ours. The downside is that it’s a little bit harder to always know when someone has written a new blog post about a pattern. I use Bloglovin to follow bloggers, but when you follow 200+ sewing bloggers (and I know there’s tons more of you out there!), it’s easy to miss a pattern post here or there. It really helps us when you put the name of the pattern brand in the post title, like “Review: Vogue Patterns 8945 & 8916,” because then it jumps out in the feed as a post we need to look at.

Update: Wow, we are so thrilled at the response to our first sewalong! This is going to be so much fun! (I may try to cut out my coat muslin this weekend, but first I want to finish up the vest I’m making out of V9034 in a light gray wool suiting.) I’ll post more about the sewalong early next week before I head to the American Sewing Expo. And don’t forget to enter our Fall Into Fashion Pinterest contest. My head is spinning with all that we’ve got going on!
Are you on Pinterest? We are and we’ve just created a new board you might be interested in. It’s a community board where you can pin photos of the things you make with our patterns. We’ve gotten it started with a few pins but it needs more. Having your photos here will also help us keep our fan gallery updated on this blog (at bottom of this page), and we also like to have images to post on our customer board at our NYC office.
Here’s how you can add pins of your Butterick, Vogue Patterns, McCall’s and Kwik Sew makes to the board: 1) Provide a link to your personal Pinterest page, either by leaving it in a comment here or by emailing it to email@example.com. 2) Follow this board (in order to add anyone to a group board, both parties have to follow at least one board from the other’s Pinterest account).
That’s all there is to it! We’re excited to have a Pinterest board filled with all the great things you sew with our patterns.
