Our summer Vogue pattern collection is now available, and one design we’ve received an exceptional amount of praise for is the Zandra Rhodes dress and sash pattern V1627. Did you know that this pattern is based on an iconic Zandra Rhodes design from the 1970s?
We learned with sadness that former Vogue® Patterns designer Sonia Rykiel died yesterday. She was a licensee with us in the 1970s. At the time, home sewers were just starting to sew with knits, and they welcomed the opportunity to make their own versions of Rykiel’s sophisticated and carefree designs.
Here are Rykiel’s designs for Vogue Patterns, as seen in our catalogs from 1976 and 1977.
