Royal Wedding Sew-Along: Finishing Touches

Hi all! So much has happened with our favorite Royals since we last updated—like a new baby for William and Kate! If you haven’t had a chance to read our post on The Royal Wedding Sew-Along Contest just click here to review.

Let’s check in on our Royal Wedding Sew-Along bloggers and see what they’ve been up to!

Allie (who has officially finished her McCalls M7684 dress) is showing us how to hem and ways to really give your dress some shape!

Monica says she can see the finish line on her Vogue V9292 pattern and is showing us how to install an invisible zipper.

Lindsey is showing us her New Look 6526 finishing touches on her vlog post.

Rachel gave us an inside look in the hat making process for all of you thinking of making the accessory to go with your dress!

Brittany is also putting the finishing touches on her Butterick 5850.

Just a quick note to emphasize again that participation in the Royal Wedding Sew-Along is not limited to these five patterns. In fact, you can sew in the sew-along and enter the contest (details coming soon) as long as you’re making a CURRENT pattern from Butterick, McCall’s, New Look, Simplicity or Vogue Patterns. Contest details and rules here.

Have you joined our Royal Wedding Sew-Along Facebook group yet? It’s the best place to meet your fellow sew-alongers and share your progress. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #royalweddingsewalong when you share on social media. More next week and a contest. Stay tuned!
