Royal Wedding Sew-Along: Still Sewing!

Hi guys! Hope you all had an amazing week of working on your sew-along creations. We’re still working on our garments but right on track with the schedule! Official contest rules will be coming very soon so keep an eye out for those.

Time to check in with our sew-along blogging team:

Brittany is showing us how to install a zipper in her vlog this week for Butterick B5850 so if you’re having zipper woes watch below!

Rachel is continuing on her pattern hacking adventure by doubling the sleeve on her jumpsuit version of Simplicity 8292.

Lindsay is attaching the lining to her bodice in her latest vlog for for New Look 6526.

Allie is also showing us how to install a zipper on her make of McCall’s pattern M7864.

Monica’s fabric has finally arrived and is posing a bit of a challenge for her. Check out her post to see what she’s cooking up with Vogue Pattern V9292

Just a quick note to emphasize again that participation in the Royal Wedding Sew-Along is not limited to these five patterns. In fact, you can sew in the sew-along and enter the contest (details coming soon) as long as you’re making a CURRENT pattern from Butterick, McCall’s, New Look, Simplicity or Vogue Patterns.

Have you joined our Royal Wedding Sew-Along Facebook group yet? It’s the best place to meet your fellow sew-alongers and share your progress. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #royalweddingsewalong when you share on social media. More next week and a contest. Stay tuned!

We’ve been sewing since 1863.
