Thanks for participating in our third sew along! We’ll keep these posts up, so don’t worry if you haven’t started your pea coat yet. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #v1467sewalong when you share your pea coat and its construction on social media.

Our next sew along will be in the spring, and we’ll do something a little easier so we can get more beginning sewers involved. Suggestions for what to sew are welcome!

  1. Thank you for hosting the sew along, although some could not participate I am sure everyone benefited from the information. My suggestions would be a top/skirt or more simple spring blazer.

  2. I’m loving participating vicariously in these sew-alongs, since sewing a wool coat in 30C humid spring heat ‘Downunder’ (no double entendre intended but go on, laugh anyway!!), is enough to make my hands start sweating all over again. But thanks to the marvels of the inter webs the beautiful sew-along instructions hints and encouragements sit waiting for 6 months time when I do indeed hope to avail myself of the webby wonders of your pea coat sew-along. Thanks for posting, the sewists of the world are your beneficiaries gals!! Beautiful coats, do keep ’em coming.

  3. Thanks for sharing my pea coat. I love this pattern and enjoyed the sewalong and all the information. A blouse would be my suggestion for next sewalong

  4. a blouse or a dress for spring would be lovely

  5. Thank you for posting this index – very handy.

For a spring sew-along that would be more beginner friendly, I think a skirt would be a good idea.

  6. Beautiful! I definitely want to try this

  7. Love this! Wished I knew about the sew along, very fun!!

  8. Wait for new sew along. I love pea coats very much already have 06 pieces and I can’t go without it during winter!
